Our Strategic Dealer Consultants are vital to our business. As an SDC you will be responsible for lead generation as well as establishing and developing a strong, valued relationship with your dealer base.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Market the SDS program via dealership visits, webinars, cold calls, e-mail campaigns and auction visits
- Network with other automotive professionals to generate leads
- Coordinate and conduct sales and finance presentations to key dealership employees
- Track and document sales prospects for continual follow up
- Manage leads and referrals using a customer relationship management tool (CRM)
- Take a consultative approach to building a relationship with your dealers. Consult the dealer on – inventory purchasing/management, marketing options, lot merchandising, internal processes
- Exhibit an understanding of the subprime market place, our competitors, and the always-changing business climate.
- Become a subject matter expert on all SDS products, internal processes, new products/promotions and our partner companies.
- Implement and execute all company-wide marketing initiatives so as to maximize their impact and to help meet or exceed sales goals
- Utilize your internal drive for results to be work in a largely autonomous position.

SDS JOB REQUIREMENTS & WISH LIST
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- 2 years outside sales experience
- Ability to sell consultatively finding your prospect’s needs and presenting the SDS solution accordingly.
- Automotive floorplan, finance, or direct BHPH lending experience
- High level written and verbal communication skills; ability to multi-task
- Highly organized, great in a group setting
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Should be proficient with email and Microsoft Office, good aptitude for technology
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time if needed, including over night stays.
- Energetic and highly motivated self – starter that works well in an autonomous position.
There are currently no available positions for Strategic Sales Specialist
The inside sales specialist develops, maintains and interacts primarily utilizing the phone and other forms of electronic communication to a broad scope of new and existing customers within the geographic areas SDS operates in to increase sales of products and/or services. The SSS will assist in creating sales strategies designed to demonstrate the features and benefits of the products to achieve increased sales and profitability.
Job Duties
- Contact dealer partners through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, and mail to drive increased business to SDS as well as overall utilization.
- Assist the VP of Sales in sending weekly reporting to the field sales team.
- Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional
- Collaborate with the funding team to collect documents from our dealer partners to finalize contracts in verifications or approved status.
- Be the liaison between the dealer and the funding specialist to address and solve any issues.
- Answer all incoming funding or sales related incoming phone calls
- Receive all incoming dealer documents (new dealer packets – deal packets) filter through, upload, and then distribute to the proper parties.
- Update and document internal activities in CRM and alert SDCs of any changes that need to be addressed.
- Assist in overflow of funding deals if needed.
- Work directly with VP of Sales to set up, organize and prepare for dealer conventions.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Warranty Services team to complete new dealer documents and see that they are correctly registered with the company admin.
- Prep new market visits for SDCs via outbound cold calls, mailers and email blasts.
- Field incoming SDC calls to assist with updates, documents or other items as needed.
- Attend some location auctions or dealer events with field sales to help establish the SDS brand.
- Complete online demos using HiFive as the opportunities present themselves.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
